I saw the beautiful, precise, shocking, sad and thoughtful Swedish documentary Every Face Has A Name on the Filmfest Hamburg this week and can only strongly recommend it. Watching it, one cannot look down anymore, seeing the same things happening again those days… HERE is the trailer.
„On April 28, 1945, life begins again. Hundreds of survivors from the German concentration camps arrive to the harbour of Malmö, Sweden. While they take their first steps in freedom Swedish news photographers film them. Passenger lists are made to keep a record of all survivors arriving. Now, 70 years later the survivors are watching this archive footage for the very first time and as they discover themselves they re-experience the emotions from this special day.“
Description of the film on their website.
I wish you a wonderful weekend… with open eyes, seeing beautiful things :)!
