John Martyn (1948-2009) is a legend. Sure, I heard of this big singer-songwriter who is responsible for musical milestones like the albums Stormbringer (which he produced together with is former wife Beverly) or Grace and Danger (in which he dealt with his divorce). Nevertheless, I have to admit that I digged into his music just lately and, more or less, accidentally. But now I’m infected with his blues/folk ingenuity! In fact, one of the very first albums I bought after finally getting a record player was one by him. And who knows, maybe he and his music will soon be in my (still very short) list of music idols…
