What would you do if your best friend is secretly having an affair with your fiancé? Would you cry in your sheets and break-up the relationship immediately? I certainly would, but Amy – the heroine of Jane Fallon’s novel Faking Friends – chooses another way…
When she arrives unannounced in her flat in London, her fiancé Jack is out, but it’s clear another woman has been making herself at home there. Amy wants to find out, who the woman is – and takes on as if everything is okay: She books herself into a hotel, phones Jack and announces her arrival the same evening. The next day she finally realizes that the ‚Other Woman‘ is Melissa, her best friend. But instead of falling apart, she’s determined to get her life back on track – and also to get some bit of revenge.
This book is a highly entertaining read. I started it and couldn’t drop it down anymore. It is written in a empathetic style with a story sometimes tragic, but often funny. A perfect book for the first (still cold) spring days!
Have a wonderful and entertaining week :)!
