It’s finally time to show you the contents of the Gourmet Box that landed into my mailbox in September :). So, I prepare myself some sunday rolls, spread them with the jam I found inside the box and inspect the rest of the delicious surprises. This time it was filled with the following treats:
Jamalade (Strawberry jam) … This jam is fanastic and contains only natural ingredients. With 75% strawberries it’s incredible fruity and fits perfectly onto fresh sunday rolls! My favorite in the box!
Pure pieces (cereal bars) … Those are a great natural treats for the small appetite.
Safran rice … I didn’t try this one out yet. But it looks fancy.
ColaRebell EnergyCola and EnergyBonbons (coke & coke candies) … Coke in a gourmet box? Okay, it’s a special coke and it is produced in Hamburg. It tastes okay.
Brot (a bread magazine) … I loooooved this magazine. Like you all may know already, I am a bread-addict. So, can there be anything better than a whole magazine about bread?!
And as a surprise: Red Kampot Pepper (pepper) …This pepper really looks ‚gourmet‘. I like red pepper anyway, so I was happy with this surprise 🙂
Conclusion: All in all I liked the new Gourmet Box. Nevertheless, I would have liked more of a „red line“ in between the different items. – Like an ‚autumn‘ theme, an ‚asia‘ theme, a ‚regional‘ theme or something else. Again, some itemns I liked more than others. But hey, it’s a box filled with (delicous) surprises

Sunday Rolls Recipe: Makes 6-8 rolls.
Ingredients: 3 cups flour, 2 TSps instant yeast, 2 TSps salt. 2 TblSps olive oil.
Preparation: Combine the flour, yeast and salt and add one cup of water and the oil, mix well. Rest the dough on a warm place for app. 20 minutes and let rise. Knead the dough again, form rolls. With a knife, carve the rolls in the middle of their tops. Bake for app.15 minutes at 200°C.
