I stumbled upon the new American indie pop band TV Girl (via Miss Moss) just last week and am already smitten with their sound. It reminds me constantly on the music of the 60s and 70s, but maybe that is just my personal impression (Listen to It Evaporates and hopefully you will know what I mean!). Their sound still feels authentic and unconsumed, something that is very sadly most of the times found only in the productions of unknown artists and often fading away with the success of their original tunes. Thus, let us all hope that this will never happen for TV Girl. Thumps up for their first (still free for download available) full-length mix tape The Wild, The Innocent, The TV Shuffle!
