Hamburg’s biggest park has the funny name Planten un Blomen („plants and blooms“). During the summer months there’s a nightly fountain show, playing with light and music, the Wasserlichtkonzerte (water-light concerts)! It’s absolutely worth to watch (and hear). I attended it for the first time last week and was smitten! Why wasn’t I there before? Now I have found one more reason why I love this city with its funny names for places (Here’s one more: I live at the Schlump, which stands for „sludge“!) and wonderful places.
