New Year’s Resolution V: Visit more Museums!

Pic by Franzi. Instagram @luckmysocalled.

My fifth resolution: Visit more museums (and exhibitions)! I realized that this important part of my life didn’t play the same role last year as in the past.

I maybe was only five times in a museum during the last twelve months. Last week I visited THIS fantastic exhibition and learned a lot about my own country. So, next year I resolve to spent more time with cultural events, museums and exhibitions.

Have a beautiful day :)!

New Year’s Resolution III: Learn to Sew!

My third resolution: Learn to sew! A few month ago, I got my first sewing machine and since X-Mas I also own some sewing books. So, it’s time to start with some easy projects.

Maybe a scarf? Some baby trousers? A cosmetic bag? Oh, so many ideas! Do you have more? Let me know!

Have a creative day :)!

New Year’s Resolution II: Listen More to My Body!

To listen more to my body is also not a new resolution of mine. But 2016 was a year that showed me once more how important a good health really is. I would like to practice yoga more regularly, eat more consciously and also – that’s the crucial point – go to the regular check-ups at my dentist, my GP and my OB/Gyn.

The last one is hard for me – I literally hate go to doctors. But I see the necessity and resolve to make some appointments. The first one is already in my diary: The dentist.

Have a mindful day :)!

New Year’s Resolutions: 5. Dare Something!

My last resolution for the (very) fresh year: Dare something! There are a few things I am REALLY afraid about. Just let me say one word: Skiing… My knees are shaking right now. But at least I will try it (again). I even bought myself new ski pants. Thus, wish me luck!

Have a fantastic start into the adventure of the year 2016!

New Year’s Resolutions: 2. Have Time For My Dear Ones!

My second New Year’s resolution: To spend as much time as possible with my dear ones. I know that I am doing the best I can already and it’s not always easy to share my time between all those cities. But as stressful as it sometimes may be, nothing is as relaxing and heartwarming as to be together with friends, my godchild or family. Thus, I will try to be with all those lovely people as often as I can manage.

Have fun with your dear ones … every day!

New Year’s Resolutions: 1. Listen To My Body & Improve My Health!

It’s the final week of the year 2015! Like every year it’s time to think about my New Year’s resolutions! Since I will be at the Baltic Sea with my pals from tomorrow until the end of the week I decided to make it short – everyday I will present you one big resolution.

The very first one is also the most important: I am doing my yoga classes and try to take care of my eating habits. Nevertheless, I am having regularly trouble with my body … an I know that I ignore a lot of signs, never getting enough sleep or breaks. Thus, I try to take better care of it next year :).

I wish you a wonderful start into the final week of the year 2015. Stay healthy!

A monthly Challenge! January: Going Vegan!

Going VeganPic by Franzi.

Voilá, I proudly present you a new series: A monthly Challenge. Life would be boring without a few challenges, wouldn’t it? And because the last few days (or should I say last two years?) showed already that I can deal with new challenges, I will make no pause and just search myself a new one …and in February the next, and in March another one and in April… I think you already get the scheme: 12 fresh months (okay 11,5) are laying stretched out before us and I will go for 12 fresh challenges. I haven’t decided yet if all of them will be food challenges (maybe yes – there’s still so much to try out; maybe not – life has to offer so much more thrilling challenges), but I will start with one. A big one. I will change my food status a bit: Instead of being a pescetarian  (Yeah, I also learned this word just now – cool isn’t it?) like usually, I’m going to live as a vegan from next Monday on for the next four weeks. In the beginning of the last year I made a 4 week detox during which I lived two weeks vegan. I found it pretty hard to adjust myself to this practise of a diet, but at least I had some recipes at hand and in the end it really helped me with some health issues. And since I planned to read Jonathan Safran Foer’s book Eating Animals for a very long time anyway, I will start to read it now and give my best to challenge myself. I will keep you informed how it is going on and MAYBE – if I will dig out some new delicious vegan recipes – share them with you.

Wish me Luck!

(My dear illusion: This one is a coincidence and has nothing to do with you or your current popularity.)
