Song of the Month: I Belong To You by Lenny Kravitz!

This month’ song I Belong To You by Lenny Kravitz is one of two wedding songs from Isa and André. So, let’s celebrate the two a bit more and dance through this fresh week.

Happy listening!

A X-Mas Song For Tuesday: Hey Santa by Carnie & Wendy Wilson!

To get us all into the right X-Mas mood I decided to present you one X-Mas song each week during this year’s Advent season. Let’s start with Hey Santa by the sister duo Carnie & Wendy Wilson, a romantic and cute song that I already loved when it came out in 1993.

Merry listening!

A Song For Tuesday: Surrender by Konni Kass!

Unfortunately it was not possible for me to attend this year’s Reeperbahn Festival. Thanks to Social Media I was at least able to get an impression of some of the performances there. This is how I found Konni Kass‘ song Surrender. The singer and her band are based at the Faroe Islands – their tunes have this clear Nordic sound I really like. Her first album will be released in November and I believe that I will like more of her songs as well!

A Song for Tuesday: Door by Nice as Fuck!

The song Door by Nice As Fuck (NAF) made it instantly into my ears… and then into my legs, and those started dancing only one second later. This doesn’t happen too often! I guess the band name can be seen as a understement ;).

A Song For Tuesday: Morning After Coffee by Kelsey Lu!

Kelsey Lu’s song Morning After Coffee may be about mornings, but her hypnotic & experimental pop/R&B sound makes me think on long, hot summer nights. I have to admit that her music reminds me a bit on Feist. But who cares? I love Feist – so, that’s not a bad thing at all…

A Song For Tuesday: Video Games by Jochen Distelmeyer!

On his new album Songs from the Bottom Vol. 1 Jochen Distelmeyer he interprets some of his favorite songs with his distinct style. I love Video Games by Lana Del Ray, but what Jochen Distelmeyer now made with it is equally fantastic!

Enjoy listening!

A Song For Tuesday: Scissor Sisters – Fire with Fire!

This Tuesday needs a powerful kickstart: With Fire to Fire by the good-old dance/funk band Scissor Sisters! I wonder when they will release their next album (the last one is already 4 years old)…

A Song For Tuesday: Love Test by The Growlers

“You know they say it ain’t easy loving the same woman forever
Wish you luck on finding a good one on your heart’s endeavor
But nothing is easy
Love isn’t easy as it seems”

Love Test by US band The Growlers is a good mood tune with down-to-earth commentaries about the old topic of love: It isn’t easy as it seems (but it’s fun anyway).

A Song For Tuesday: Private Dancer by Tina Turner!

Tina Turner’s song Private Dancer is one of those tunes that make me think back on my childhood. I heard it on the radio during long road trips or secretly under the blanket during the night with my Walkman. Oh, those good old times ;)!

A Song For Tuesday: BOY – We Were Here!

A cool autumn song from the two gorgeous women, forming the band BOY: We were here! Life-affirming, happy and dancy. I don’t need more on a typical autumn Tuesday.
