Those Small Little Moments!

A walk through the snow with friends on top of the Wurmberg, Harz! (Tuesday, January 2).
All pics by Franzi.

The last month was over in a sec. Again, it was stuffed with lots of little pretty moments: The first days in the (sometimes snowy) Harz with my pals, then back in Hamburg with lots of work but also relaxing hours. Three days in big Berlin with some sunshine, my godson and two insightful workshops. Plus friends, coffee and delicious meals. A good start into the year.

I wish you a wonderful new week! Enjoy those small pretty moments :)!

The smell of wood and snow (Tuesday, January 2)

Back in Hamburg, we enjoyed lots of delicious cups of coffee: Those beauties were served to us at Less Political (Sunday, January 7)

Sometimes you don’t get a table where you planned to have dinner … instead you get one in your favorite restaurants nearby – Brachmanns Galeron. A perfect night-out! (Saturday, January 13)

When a long workday is awarded with the perfect view onto the harbor (Thursday, January 18)

A short trip to Berlin – I simply love this colorful, rough, big city when it’s sunny (Wednesday, January 24)

A calm stroll through Hamburg Winterhude (Sunday, January 28)

Autumn Days in Berlin!

berlin3The parks in the city are colorful right now. All Pics by Franzi.

I am on the road again. The last few days I spent I Berlin on a conference and with friends and family. It was a bit stressful (due to job issues) but I loved the colorful city in all its autumn brilliance! The next days I will be in Hamburg and – of course – in Frankfurt. It’s book fair week :)!

I wish you a wonderful start into the fresh week – have a colorful one :)!

re:publica #rpTEN: Day III in Pictures!

rp1The good-by session! All pics by Franzi.

Wednesday was the last day of the #rpTEN. Everything was more relaxed than the two days before. I attended a binge-creating workshop and some re:health sessions – with a focus on health and health apps. At the end, the closing ceremony made me laugh, sing and a bit sad that everything was over again for this year.

Have a wonderful weekend! Have an inspiring one!

rp3My first try in binge-creating: A chick on stilts meets a Star Wars character – that should be Darth Vader :).

rp2Another side of the story: Kati Krause talked about social media and depression. Brave and eye-opening!

When I first looked at Kirsten Sims‘ picture series YOU ARE HERE, I immediately was remembered on the ‘busy pictures’ (‘wimmelbooks‘), which are currently a big hit for kids in Germany: The longer you look at the pictures, the more you will see. And Kirsten Sims’ series does exactly the same for me – the longer I watch, the more scenes around the actual painting I have in mind.

I wish you a wonderful weekend. Stay curious!

The First Advent Weekend in Osnabrück!

OS3Osnabrück’s Krahnstraße. All pics by Franzi.

Friday I took the train from Berlin to Osnabrück. There we celebrated Inka with a belated birthday breakfast, together with a lot of kids. It was a big (play time/) fun but in the end we were all pretty exhausted ;). Sunday (my little bro turned 30!!…) was a lot quieter – I met my pal Birte in a cosy coffee bar and took the train back home to Hamburg …and the first Advent weekend this year was over already.

I wish you a wonderful start into the fresh week. Have a fun one!

OS1Sunday was all about the kids!

OS2Sunday afternoon we made a quick walk to get some fresh air (and to calm down).

OS4Saturday I met my pal Birte in the comfy coffee bar Barösta.

Museum Photographs by Thomas Struth!

Thomas Struth2Picture Credit

Let’s finish this exciting week with some museum photographs by German artist Thomas Struth. I hate people photographing art in museums… but to photograph the people studying art? That’s completely different! Those pictures contain a calm and radiance than includes the inspiration of the museum’s art together with the thoughts of their observers.

I wish you a wonderful weekend filled with many relaxing and inspirational hours!

Oxford!

OxfordI’m back in Germany since Saturday night. – My Oxford visit is nearly one week ago. Unbelievable! But I had a great time there, meeting up with a bunch of friends, visiting old colleges, sitting in gigantic book shops, drinking tea and ale and eating fish and chips! We even had some rays of sunshine to enjoy (But don’t get confused – it was freezing cold!) and just a good time in this Harry Potter-like town. Here are a few impressions from Oxford…

I hope you enjoy the pics and then I wish you all a weekend full of new stories!SAM_2928 SAM_2866 SAM_2843 SAM_2830 SAM_2823 SAM_2822 SAM_2815 SAM_2814 SAM_2796All pics by Franzi.
