Those Small Little Moments!

This rainbow in the Alster fountain! (Sunday, November 4). All pics by Franzi.

It’s time for a look back – those last four weeks were full of big and small events. In those tumultuous times, the small moments are those one has to enjoy the most and give back the power to go on.

I wish you a wonderful new week! Treasure those small pretty moments :)!

November in Berlin!

B4Friedrichshagen – my home district. All pics by Franzi.

A weekend in Berlin is always tightly scheduled… Friday the PhD defence of my little bro was the main thing to celebrate. Saturday and Sunday I spent again with friends and family spread through the big city. There was sun and snow and fun and cheese cake and potato salad and lasagna! A wonderful time!

I wish you a wonderful start into the fresh week. Have a unique one!

Colorful Autumn Days in Hamburg!

HH2All pics by Franzi.

I spent this Hamburg weekend with some friends from Osnabrück and their little son. I went into a musical preview (quite ok, but not a must-see), enjoyed the autumn colors on long walks and discovered a bit of Altona’s history. Alltogether, a perfect autumn weekend!

I wish you a wonderful start into the fresh week – enjoy the colors!

HH1Those days my bike has a pretty colorful parking space!

HH4The “Niendorfer Gehege“, where I went with my pal Inka and her son (who was sleeping until we were home again).

HH3Don’t worry: We didn’t eat the mushrooms ;)!

HH5A certain mister bought me an anchor button from a button machine!

HH6Sunday we made a walk in Altona (described in this book I am currently reading in my literature club) with a short break at Eier Carl.

A Hamburg Weekend!

HH 4All pics by Franzi.

Another lazy late summer-weekend! This time at home in Hamburg. It started with feeling sick, lying in bed reading, went on with shopping at the farmers market, cooking (got to know the smoke alarm in my flat) and meeting good-old friends. All in all a perfect one!

I wish you a wonderful start into the next lazy late-summer week :)!

Those Were My Winter Vacations 2014!

So, my winter vacations are finally over. …It was such a fantastic time. Thanks to my friends who were wonderful! It was a pleasure to spent this great week together with you :). And thanks again to my excellent guest bloggers – Marie, Dania & Youdid! To let you all participate a bit on my winter vacation experiences, I would like to dedicate a few posts this week to it. Let’s begin with a few impressions from the top of the Austrian mountains. Those were my winter vacations in the Zillertal!

Have an inspiring (and hopefully not snowy 😉 ) week!

Flower Art by Claire Baisler!

We started into this week with the perfect place of artist Claire Baisler’s studio, so it seems only logical to end it with her fantastic flower/nature art! Her organic paintings are a wonderful distraction in an art world that seems to be ever innovative and on the hunt for the best new idea. Sometimes the simplest motives just do it all. Oh my, and her mural paintings … BEAUTIFUL!

I wish you a beautiful weekend with many flowers and nature around you!

Berlin Summer

All pics by Franzi.

Obviously you are all in a quite summery mood right now. – At least that’s what I concluded from last week’s survey… and I promise you, I will prepare something worth a special monday post about the warm season very soon. To don’t let you wait too long, I show you today some pics I made in Berlin during the hot summer of 2003 (you can still see the Palace of the Republic in the background of the upper picture). At this time, my pal Isa and me often took our cameras and went out to shoot pics of people to certain topics. I miss these times when a look at our results now – maybe we should make the resolution to go out again and make some fresh pics… I would like that really much!
