Baptism!

Babtism1Henry’s baptism present: Cutlery. All Pics by Franzi.

Last weekend I was  (again!) in Berlin. This time we celebrated the baptisms of my godson Henry (14 months old) and his little sister Julchen (4 months old). I decided for a classical baptism gift: A cutlery set for kids with engravings of wild animals and his name. Furthermore I framed him a print of a little fox with the quote “Have big dreams”. Julchen also got something, of course – a doll. Did I say that I am a proud godmother of a wonderful godson? I am :).

I wish you a wonderful start into the fresh week – have a happy one!

Babtism2From now on Henry will dine with some wild animals :)!

Sustainable X-Mas Times & the My so-called Luck Advent Calendar 2014!!

Now we have the first of December. So it’s time to open the doors of the My so-called Luck advent calendar 2014*! Can you believe it? The year is nearly over again. But hey, there’s still a whole month left. Since living a more sustainable life was a big topic this year for me and also here on this blog, I decided against the good old nail polish advent calendar of the former years. Instead you will have the chance to WIN A GOAT!!! Yes, a real goat from Oxfam Unpacked (see below):

Leave a comment under this post – and/or under the advent calendar post on the My so-called Luck Facebook page and you will be in the tombola. On the 24th of December I will randomly select a winner.

Good luck and a happy start into a (sustainable) X-Mas month!

Sustainable gift ideas:
ziege_oxfamFor everyone: A goat  from Oxfam Unwrapped!!! The system is easy: You choose one of the exciting gifts from Oxfam Unwrapped – like a goat, a duck, a sheep or another one. A personalized card goes to your loved one and shows how your gift is making a real difference. The donation turns into a gift for those who need it most. – Like into a real goat for families in Mosambique.

A sustainable advent calendar:

kamain4For yourself: A 24guteTaten advent calendar! Behind every door waits a project that is supported with the earnings from selling the calendar.

A sustainable tree:

tannelieseFor your flat: A Happy Tree! Unfortunately this is – until now – only available in the German area of Cologne and Düsseldorf, but it’s such a genius idea: You select the size of tree you would like to have this year and the potted tree, named Tanneliese, Waldemar or Baumgard arrives at your home. After X-Mas it is transported back and cared for until next year.

 * The advent calendar is open to anyone anywhere in the world. Readers outside Germany must please note that you may be subject to your country’s customs charges / import duties upon arrival.  The competition ends on 24 December 2014, and the winner will be randomly selected in a lucky draw. All decisions are final.
