First Aid Kit – Ruins!

The Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit just released their fourth album Ruins. I already told you (six years ago!) how wonderful I believe the music of the two sisters sounds. These days, I seldom listen to whole albums anymore – I prefer my own playlists with the distinct songs I currently like. Ruins is the big exception – I listen to it from the first song until the last and I like them all. And by the way: The two videos below are also beautiful to watch!

Happy listening (& watching)!

A Song For Tuesday: Dreamers by The Green Children!

Today’s song Dreamers by the electropop pop duo The Green Children has this certain 1990s vibe I love so much – it’s atmospheric and artificial at the same time. Fitting for a start into a November morning :).

Have fun listening!

Happy B-Day little Bro!

A New Discovery: Jack Beauregard

A week ago I went to a nice private party in Berlin. When I was finally about to leave I realized the music in the background …and was hooked immediately! Julie, the wonderful host, explained that the song belonged to her new favorite band Jack Beauregard. After a bit of research I found out that Jack Beauregard is actually a duo from Berlin and exists already since 2006. From now on, you will hear their current album The Magazines You Read (2011) also at my own parties!
