A Song For Tuesday: Dreamers by The Green Children!

Today’s song Dreamers by the electropop pop duo The Green Children has this certain 1990s vibe I love so much – it’s atmospheric and artificial at the same time. Fitting for a start into a November morning :).

Have fun listening!

Happy B-Day little Bro!

A Song For Tuesday: Surrender by Konni Kass!

Unfortunately it was not possible for me to attend this year’s Reeperbahn Festival. Thanks to Social Media I was at least able to get an impression of some of the performances there. This is how I found Konni Kass‘ song Surrender. The singer and her band are based at the Faroe Islands – their tunes have this clear Nordic sound I really like. Her first album will be released in November and I believe that I will like more of her songs as well!

A Song for Tuesday: Door by Nice as Fuck!

The song Door by Nice As Fuck (NAF) made it instantly into my ears… and then into my legs, and those started dancing only one second later. This doesn’t happen too often! I guess the band name can be seen as a understement ;).

A Song For Tuesday: Bottom of the Barrel by the Forlorn Strangers!

The music of the Nashville-based band Forlorn Strangers got me instantly. It’s acoustic country-indie kind of sound fits perfectly to those (slightly rainy) summer days on the sea. Their first album just came out. Today’s song Bottom of the Barrel is the first single from it.

A Song For Tuesday: Lisbon by Wolf Alice!

It’s quite some time ago that I presented you a really nice indie/alternative rock song. Here it is: Lisbon by the London-based band Wolf Alice!

A Song for Tuesday: Portugal by Little Big Sea!

Little_Big_SeaOn stage at the #dico16. Pic by Franzi.

Austrian band Little Big Sea were the music act at the #dico16 and really got me into a relaxed mood! I love their laid-back attitude, the dream-like voice of singer Marlene as well as their catchy tunes! They reminded me a bit on Memoryhouse but were still unique! Hopefully, we will hear more about them in the future! Their first album will be released this year :).

A Song for Tuesday: The Pop Kids by the Pet Shop Boys!

I studied history
while you did biology
To you the human body
didn’t hold any mystery
We were young but imagined
we were so sophisticated
Telling everyone we knew
that rock was overrated
We stayed out ’til late
five nights a week
and felt so chic”

The Pet Shop Boys are back!! I was really surprised that I still am hooked by their tunes instantly! Their new album Super was just released on April 1, 2016! The Pop Kids are simply perfect for a good mood start into this Tuesday (but you also have to listen to the track Happiness)!

A Song For Tuesday: Boys (I dated in High School) by The Prettiots!

Today’s song is pure fun: Boys (I dated in High School) by indie pop band The Prettiots tells the story of all those guys one would like to forget (and who were clearly the nightmares of our parents) with a sweet innocent voice.

Enjoy listening!

A Song For Tuesday: Love Test by The Growlers

“You know they say it ain’t easy loving the same woman forever
Wish you luck on finding a good one on your heart’s endeavor
But nothing is easy
Love isn’t easy as it seems”

Love Test by US band The Growlers is a good mood tune with down-to-earth commentaries about the old topic of love: It isn’t easy as it seems (but it’s fun anyway).

A Song For Tuesday: Constant by Leoniden

Leoniden were the supporting act for Maximo Park’s concert on Saturday. Their performance was powerful (and absolutely crazy). In the end, they had (minimum) one fan more.
