The 4th Advent Weekend 2016!

Beautiful Eimsbüttel. All Pics by Franzi.

The fourth Advent weekend in Hamburg! Yes indeed, I spent the last three weekends in this wonderful city. But now it’s time to grab my bags again and to take the next train: First I will be a few days in Berlin, during X-Mas I will be in Hesse and finally I plan to celebrate the new year with friends in Quedlinburg

I wish you a wonderful start into the fresh week – have a stress-free one :)!

Friday night we made mulled wine with a rum-soaked sugar-loaf lit above it (German: “Feuerzangenbowle“).

Saturday I helped a friend moving!

The 3rd Advent Weekend 2016!

Look onto Hamburg from the musical area. All Pics by Franzi.

The third Advent weekend in Hamburg! We were in the cinema (Arrival – a really entertaining SF movie!), in a musical (Das Wunder von Bern – go there if you like musicals! It’s awesome!) as well as in the Hamburg Museum. …You see: a weekend in Hamburg is never boring. Here are lots of things to experience, not only during X-Mas time.

I wish you a wonderful start into the fresh week – have a restful one :)!

Friday night: We watched the fantastic (!) SF movie Arrival in the Savoy cinema in St. Georg.

Saturday night: The musical hall, where we watched Das Wunder von Bern.

Sunday we were in the Hamburg Museum. There was a special exhibition about beer (I learned that Hamburg was really famous for its breweries in the past).

The 2nd Advent Weekend 2016!

The second Advent weekend in Hamburg! Since we had guests, we used the bright blue sky on Saturday to visit the harbor and some X-Mas markets. During sunset we were on a boat tour on the Alster – incredible romantic :). Sunday morning we looked down on Hamburg from its newest highlight – the Elbphilharmonie. A perfect weekend in this wonderful city!

I wish you a wonderful start into the fresh week – have a bright one :)!

we1A cozy fire-place! All Pics by Franzi.

I am just back from good-old Osnabrück, where I spent the first Advent weekend with friends, a little guy who calls me ‘Bundy’ and a party to celebrate a new installed fire-place. It was a very nice start into the X-Mas season!

I wish you a wonderful start into the fresh week – have a cozy one :)!

The Fourth Advent Weekend!

WE3Just another X-Mas market. All pics by Franzi.

The fourth candle is lit and X-Mas is already in front of our doors. I will be off to Berlin on Wednesday. This weekend I enjoyed again my new hometown Hamburg. But is it still new? I am already one year here. Can you believe it? Now I need to wrap the last presents and pack my bags for X-Mas.

I wish you a wonderful start into the final X-Mas week. Stay relaxed!

Wow, the third Advent weekend is already over. Only one and a half weeks until X-Mas. I spent the weekend in Hamburg and Osnabrück. Unfortunately, I got sick (again) on Saturday and I had to cancel my other plans. Now, I am back in Hamburg and try to be fit again :).

I wish you a wonderful start into the fresh week. Stay healthy!

The First Advent Weekend in Osnabrück!

OS3Osnabrück’s Krahnstraße. All pics by Franzi.

Friday I took the train from Berlin to Osnabrück. There we celebrated Inka with a belated birthday breakfast, together with a lot of kids. It was a big (play time/) fun but in the end we were all pretty exhausted ;). Sunday (my little bro turned 30!!…) was a lot quieter – I met my pal Birte in a cosy coffee bar and took the train back home to Hamburg …and the first Advent weekend this year was over already.

I wish you a wonderful start into the fresh week. Have a fun one!

OS1Sunday was all about the kids!

OS2Sunday afternoon we made a quick walk to get some fresh air (and to calm down).

OS4Saturday I met my pal Birte in the comfy coffee bar Barösta.
